Current news about events to come
For those that are interested, I will be doing a demonstration at Devon Art Society on Wednesday 1st March 2023 Printmaking Made Easy with Gelliprinting 7.30 - 9.30pm St Lukes Church Hall, St Lukes Road, Torquay. Non-members are welcome.
I will be exhibiting with Devon Art Society and Torbay Guild of Artists in 2023
Previous visitors will be familiar with the convivial atmosphere we create in galleries, usually working at an easel or table and always willing to discuss techniques and materials. Local artists may also have come across workshops and art society demonstrations by me. Keen for visitors to see how paintings are actually made, I display sketchbooks and mood boards alongside step-by-step instructions for selected exhibits.
Good News! I am also tutoring two courses in 2023 at Slapton Ley Field Studies Centre. Book direct https://www.field-studies-council.org/courses-and-experiences/subjects. Its a great venue, with accommodation. Explore the locality and develop painting and printmaking skills.
WATERCOLOUR WIZARDRY is a 5 day course from Monday 21st August 17.00 hrs to Friday 26th August 15.00 hrs. Explore and go beyond the boundaries of watercolour using a variety of water media including watercolour, inks and mediums, you will be able to expand your existing skills and discover how to create expressive interpretations of the natural world
HAND-MADE PRINTING FROM NATURE is a 3 day course from Friday 18th August 15.00 hrs to Sunday 21st August 16.00 hrs. A creative experience to learn new skills and discover that you do not need an expensive press in order to incorporate hand-made prints into artwork using a range of natural materials gathered from gardens, beaches and woodland. This will also include the newer Gelliprinting too
Disappointingly as Harbour House in Kingsbridge are not accepting applications for exhibitions for 2023, I am now seeking new venues for exhibitions for 2023.
